GLASS MEDIA
Most of the new Filters that we install we use Glass Media:

•    Lasts 3 times longer than sand media
•    Filters down to 3 microns
•    Cleaner/faster backwashing
The Glass is made from 100% recycled fused silicon dioxide (glass) and acts as a smarter alternative to silica sand and zeolite. The heat sterilised recycled media provides improved purity offering a superior filtering product. When compared to regular sand, Glass filtration media saves up to 25% of water through less frequent backwashing.
Cost benefits are achieved through reduced chemical use with fewer chemicals washed away into our ecosystem. Tests prove that regular filter media can provide a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. The smooth unique surface of Glass Media discourages bacteria growth within your filter making Diamond Kleen the safer and smarter choice.
